Wrap-up Party to Follow – All participants must attend
Racquet Network sponsors several racquet sports tournaments every year in Calgary. They are all great opportunities for players to get together, play some games and then go out for a little celebration. All tournaments have the same price structure. Of the $65.00 entry fee, $25.00 is for court time/staff, $20.00 is for prizes/trophies and $20.00 is for food and beverages at the wind-up party. Racquet Network provides the trophies, the staff and the prizes. The value of the prizes always exceeds the prize budget.
Each Racquet Network tournament also follows the same format with respect to prizes. Rather than giving the best prize to the best player, we award prizes by lottery. So it is always possible for the worst player to end up with the best prize. All players need to do to win a prize is attend the wrap-up party where prizes are awarded to all participants.
Acadia Co-Ed Intermediate Squash Tournament
This one day co-ed mini squash tournament is open to squash players at the intermediate (D) level. Although this is primarily a social event for our players, a winner will be crowned and that person will be declared tournament champion for this year.
Calgary Squash Tournament Format
Double elimination. All players will play at least three matches.
Calgary Squash Tournament Prizes
The winner’s name will be engraved on a trophy that is displayed at the Acadia Recreation Complex. Tournament fees include free food and beverages at the wind-up which begins immediately at the conclusion of the tournament. Prizes are awarded by lottery at the wind-up party. Players must be present to win.
